Lennar Corporation (NYSE: LEN and LEN.B), today reported net income of $239.9 million, or $0.74 per diluted share, for its first fiscal quarter ended February 28, 2019. The gain compared to first quarter net earnings attributable to Lennar in 2018 of $136.2 million, or $0.53 per diluted share. Analysts were expecting a gain of $0.75 per share. A Lennar home. Of note to the housing community, the legislation addresses what is known as the “tax extenders,” a series of temporary tax provisions that expired at the end of 2017. The bill would retroactively reinstate in 2018 and extend the following expired tax provisions through 2019:  Deduction for Mortgage Insurance .
